In today’s economy who doesn’t want to save money! The Texas Gas Service offers rebates of $325 or $500 or more per home when you build energy-efficient homes equipped with natural gas plumbing and appliances.
BUILDER REBATES
WHOLE-HOME PROGRAM
Homes may be subject to Texas Gas Service site verification prior to issuing rebate.

3-Star Austin Energy Green Building or Energy Star Version 3 (ESv3) Program Home

4- or 5-Star Austin Energy Green Building Program Home
To be eligible for the rebate, builders must install:
- A natural gas space heating system (primary or backup) with a minimum AFUE of 80 percent;
- A natural gas water heater (backup only when installed in conjunction with a solar thermal water heater) with a minimum energy factor (EF) of 0.62 or a thermal efficiency (TE) of 62 percent;
- A stub for a natural gas clothes dryer; and
- An additional natural gas appliance.
