Rinnai Corporation has enhanced its Control-R 2.0 module to include Amazon Alexa integration, making Rinnai the first manufacturer to ever offer Amazon Alexa voice controls for tankless water heaters.
The new Control-R 2.0 module, which pairs with the Control-R 2.0 mobile app, now features a more user-friendly interface. Its integrated tankless water heaters respond to more than 20 voice commands, including “Alexa, ask Rinnai to start circulation” or “Alexa, tell Rinnai I want to take a shower.” It also features a more user-friendly interface.
The wireless module retains all of its other original features, including maintenance alerts, communications with dealers through the Control-R 2.0 app, and remote control of the connected tankless water heater via smartphone or tablet. The user can also set times and schedules for their heater through the app, remotely put the system in vacation mode, or prevent a cycle from starting. The module may be installed with a new tankless water heater or on existing models made since 2006.
